Gators safety Matt Elam suffered a concussion on his best play of Saturday’s loss to LSU, a source said.
Elam blitzed Tigers quarterback Jordan Jefferson and pressured him into a interception late in the first quarter.
He hit Jefferson as he threw the pass and sustained the concussion on impact.
Elam, a freshman from Dwyer, has nine tackles this year, including a sack, and a fumble recovery. He has played in every game.
