The USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championships got underway on Thursday with 23 first-round singles matches at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville, Fla.
While no Gators were active on the first day, the full outlook for Friday’s Round of 64 was set. Friday will see two rounds of singles to shrink the field to 16 players, while three rounds of doubles mean the quarterfinals will be set by day’s end.
Action begins at 9 a.m. and will continue throughout the day and into the evening. Admission is free.
