RB Mike Blakely third to commit to Gators this week, 18th in class

While the Gators are struggling on the field, they are doing well in recruiting this week. Bradenton Manatee RB Mike Blakely became the third player to commit to Florida this week, joining Venice High’s Clay Burton (DE, class of 2011) and Omari Phillips (OT/DT, class of 2012) as the Gators’ latest commitments.

Blakely has 12 touchdowns and 525 yards in five games this season for Manatee. As a junior, the 5-foot-9, 190-pound running back rushed for 1,400 yards and 23 touchdowns.
