The roller coaster that is RB Jeff Demps’ recovery from a sprained foot took a downward turn.
A day after saying “good news on Demps” and calling him probable for Saturday’s game against Mississippi State, Florida coach Urban Meyer said Demps is 50-50.
Why does Demps’ injury status keep oscillating?
“I don’t know. I ask the same exact question (to the team medical staff). How does that happen?” Meyer said. “The whole thing is about, they tell me, if he can run without pain. And so they were feeling better earlier in the week and he had a little pain yesterday. We’ll know more tomorrow.”
