A pair of victories by the No. 13 University of Florida soccer team this past weekend led to weekly honors for Lindsay Thompson (Bradenton, Fla./Lakewood Ranch High School) and Erika Tymrak (Lakewood Ranch, Fla./Edison Academic Center). Thompson was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week and Tymrak (pronounced TIM-rack) was named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

This is the second time that Thompson has appeared on the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week as she was named to the team in 2009. This is the first time Tymrak has been awarded SEC Offensive Player of the Week.
On the weekend, Thompson picked up five points, as she scored twice in the 4-2 victory over Tennessee on Friday and assisted on Tymrak’s golden goal in Sunday’s 2-1 OT win over Georgia. Friday’s two-goal effort was Thompson’s fourth double-goal match of her career. She is tied for third on the team in goals (5) and tied for fourth in points (12).
Tymrak also picked up five points on the weekend. She had an assist on Thompson’s first goal in Friday’s match and scored both of Florida goals in Sunday’s overtime victory, including the golden goal. It was the first multi-goal match of Tymrak’s collegiate career and also her first golden goal. For the season, Tymrak is third among the team in points (17), tied for third in goals (5) and second in assists (7).
Florida begins its final full week of SEC action Thursday, Oct. 21 when it meets SEC Western Division leader LSU (6-6-4, 3-2-3 SEC) in Baton Rouge, La. Match time is set for 8 p.m. (ET) at the LSU Soccer Complex.
