Football Injury Report

INJURY REPORT

--Receiver Andre Debose, whose role seemed to be growing, sustained a badly sprained ankle against Mississippi State and won't practice this week. "We're doing everything we can to get him back next week," Meyer said. "It was a rather severe ankle sprain but he's healing pretty well."

--Starting placekicker Caleb Sturgis (back), out the past three weeks with a stress fracture, is "progressing pretty good so I'll know early next week," if/when he might return, Meyer said.

--Starting tailback Jeff Demps (sprained foot), the team's leading rusher, apparently still isn't 100 percent. "Jeff Demps had minimal practice [Tuesday]," Meyer said. "We're just being very cautious to get him back."

--Offensive tackle Matt Patchan (broken wrist) is close to being able to play. "It's all strength now; the bone has healed," Meyer said. "Now it's just getting him strong enough to play. He's a maniac so he's working has hard as he can." Meyer expects to know more next Monday.

--Defensive tackle Jaye Howard (sprained ankle) did not practice Tuesday but the news is "positive."

--Starting outside linebacker Jelani Jenkins (concussion) missed practice Tuesday and his status for Wednesday's practice is not known. But, Meyer predicted, Jenkins "will be fine."

-Tailbacks Mike Gillislee (strained hamstring) and Emmanuel Moody (quad strain) are still limited at practice.

--Offensive guard Jon Halapio (broken finger), an occasional starter, is getting better. He had surgery a day after the LSU game.
