Meyer said Xavier Nixon will start at left tackle against Tennessee, with Gilbert moving to right tackle.
Maurice Hurt is expected to move inside to right guard, with Carl Johnson at left guard and Mike Pouncey at center.
"Having Xavier back, I think that brings a lot of stability to our offensive line," Gilbert said. "That will increase our play. Having him back puts everyone back to their normal positions, like Maurice back to the guard, me back to the right. I think it will be pretty good."
The status of guard James Wilson (knee) remains uncertain. Meyer said redshirt freshman John Halapio could also see extensive playing time this week. Halapio started at right guard against USF and showed improvement after starting at left guard in the season-opener against Miami (Ohio).
