Florida coach Urban Meyer said wide receiver Chris Rainey's status with the team is yet to be decided.
“It's just further evaluation as we go," Meyer said during the SEC teleconference Wednesday. "As of the immediacy of it, he’s not with us.”
Rainey was suspended indefinitely Tuesday following his arrest. He was charged with aggravated stalking, a third-degree felony, for allegedly sending a sometimes girlfriend a threatening text message.
Meyer says Omarius Hines will start in Rainey's place Saturday at Tennessee.
Rainey has just six catches for 34 yards and a touchdown this season, and Meyer says his team can fill that void.
