Football's Jelani Jenkins named SEC Freshman of the Week, Alabama Game On CBS At 8 p.m.

University of Florida redshirt freshman Jelani Jenkins (Olney, Md.) has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Jenkins totaled a career-high six sacks (two solo) in last Saturday’s 31-17 rivalry victory on the road over Tennessee, including his first career sack. Jenkins’ 15 total tackles ranks him third among SEC freshman and third on the team in tackles.

Florida (3-0) will face Kentucky (3-0) on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The game will air live on ESPNU.

Additionally, the Gator football team's game against defending national champion Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Oct. 2, will be televised at 8 p.m. on CBS Sports, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday.
