For the first couple weeks of the season, Florida slowly slid down the AP poll despite its victories. For the second week in a row, the Gators have moved up. Last week they went from No. 10 to No. 9 after beating Tennessee.
This week, after a 48-14 rout of Kentucky, the Gators move up two spots to No. 7. Alabama remains at No. 1 after a 24-20 win at Arkansas, which fell five spots to 15th.
Florida plays at Alabama this week in a rematch of last year’s SEC championship.
