The Florida men, who captured the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championship, have the No. 2 recruiting class, while the Gator women, who finished second in the Terry Crawford Program of the Year Standings, have the No. 7 recruiting class.
I'm very excited about our recruiting classes for the men and the women,” Florida head coach Mike Holloway said. “Recruiting is the backbone of any program, because no matter how good we think we are as coaches, we have to have the right athletes in our program to be successful. This group of young men and women gives us a chance to continue the success we have had here at the University of Florida in track and field and cross country.”
It marks the second time in three years that the Florida men have boasted one of the nation’s top recruiting classes as the 2008 recruiting class (2009 incoming freshmen) was rated No. 1 in the nation by Track and Field News.
