Billy Donovan is hoping Florida can build on what he called his team's most "complete game" when it visits Georgia.
He wouldn't be completely surprised if his team comes out flat.
The 24th-ranked Gators, who have had a tendency of slipping up following big wins, seek a third straight victory Tuesday night against the Bulldogs.
Florida (15-4, 4-1 SEC) made quick work of Arkansas on Saturday, hitting 11 of its first 16 shots and building an 18-point lead in the game's first 13 minutes. The Gators cruised from there to a 75-43 victory - their seventh win in eight games - as Kenny Boynton finished with 20 points and Vernon Macklin added 13.
"Defensively and offensively it was probably one of the better games we've played this year," Donovan said.
This performance came two days after Florida shot 28.3 percent and missed 21 3-pointers in an ugly 45-40 win at Auburn.
"Guys were mentally and physically frustrated about how we played against Auburn, so we came out and practiced real hard and it carried over to the game," Macklin said.
Donovan now hopes his team can replicate that mindset.
"Can we come back on Tuesday and play better than we did today?" he said. "That's the challenge you try to get across to them."
Florida, which is back in the rankings after a four-week absence, has suffered setbacks following other impressive victories this season.
The Gators won at Florida State for the first time since 2002 in late November, but lost to Central Florida three days later. They beat then-No. 6 Kansas State on Dec. 18, then fell at home to Jacksonville in their following game.
"Don't fall in love," Donovan said of his inconsistent team.
Donovan's teams have lost their last two visits to Athens, each by two points. Those are the Gators' only two defeats in the last 14 meetings in this series.
Boynton, whose 12.8 points per game rank second on Florida, totaled 43 points as the teams split their two-game season series in 2009-10.
Georgia junior forward Trey Thompkins, who now averages a team-high 17.4 points, had 44 points while shooting 18 of 26 versus the Gators last season.
Florida has held consecutive SEC opponents to fewer than 45 points for the first time since 1947.
Making it three in a row will be a tall order against a Georgia team that has scored at least 86 points in two of its last three games.
The Bulldogs (14-4, 3-2) have won 11 of 13, including an 86-64 victory over Mississippi State on Saturday.
Georgia, which had been relying heavily on its inside game in recent weeks, surprised Mississippi State by making 11 of 19 3-pointers. Georgia also played well inside, scoring 36 points in the paint and outrebounding Mississippi State 48-23.
"We had some 3s because our inside play was so good in December," Georgia coach Mark Fox said.
Gerald Robinson continued his strong start to conference play, with 17 points, five assists, five rebounds and three steals. The junior guard is averaging 18.0 points in five SEC games after scoring 9.0 per game in his final five non-conference contests.
