Jeoffrey Pagan: 5-star Defensive End Commits to Clemson

Jeoffrey Pagan, the 5-star defensive end from Asheville, North Carolina, committed to Clemson this past weekend after a recruitment process that included many top schools.

Ultimately, Pagan chose the Tigers over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina and North Carolina State.
Pagan, of course, had committed to Florida months ago only to pull his verbal commitment following Urban Meyer's sudden retirement. After his departure from the Gators' recruiting list, Clemson came on strongly.

In what has become the year of the defensive end, Pagan is one of the position's most talented players. Pagan, who didn't start playing the position until last season, filled in naturally with his 6'3'', 260-pound build.

Pagan has solid speed for his size and can get to the quarterback well. The active and physical fourth-ranked defensive end is also a force in stopping the run.

Pagan joins an impressive recruiting class at Clemson, which features a host of offensive weapons, including wide receivers Charone Peake and Martavis Bryant.
