Gators make history with win over Arkansas

When was the last time Florida held back-to-back SEC opponents to less than 50 points?

Florida has done it the past two games, winning 45-40 at Auburn on Thursday and 75-43 against Arkansas on Saturday.

The answer? Well, there are two parts. The first it that it has not been done in the shot clock era. The second is that Florida has not held back-t0-back SEC opponents to less than 50 points since 1947. That year, the Gators went 2-1 in a stretch of December when they held Mississippi State (47 points), Auburn (43) and Auburn (39) again all under 50.
