The senior punter was one of — if not the only — bright spot for the Gators on a night in which they were trounced in Tuscaloosa 31-6.
With a back injury to place-kicker Caleb Strugis, Henry added field-goal kicking to his arsenal of booming punts.
During warm-ups, Henry was knocking balls through from 40 yards and beyond with ease, but didn't get his chance to show off his place-kicking skills until the game was way out of reach.
In the meantime, Henry dazzled with mighty punts to help Florida's over-matched defense.
Backed up deep on his half of the field, Henry's first punt sailed 54 yards down field to a waiting Julio Jones at Alabama's 21. Florida's return coverage broke down as Jones returned the kick 41 yards, but he was met by Henry, who knocked him out of bounds at Florida's 42-yard line.
Henry's gem of the night came two drives later when he pinned the Crimson Tide on its 2-yard line on a 75-yard punt, the longest of his career.
His bomb ended up being an important part of Florida's quest to find its way on the scoreboard in the first half.
With their backs to their own end zone, the Tide went three plays and out before Bama punter Cody Madell shanked his kick for 26 yards, giving Florida the ball at the 36-yard line.
Henry then put Florida's first points on the board seven plays later with a 39-yard field goal, making it a 24-3 game. That attempt was the first of his Gator career.
It appeared Henry would get his chance at making personal history earlier when the Gators drove down to Alabama's 2-yard line on their first drive. When it looked like Henry would come in to tie the game, the Gators went for it on fourth-and-goal, but failed to cross the goal line.
Henry made it an even 2-for-2 on the night when he sent his 21-yard kick through the uprights in the third quarter to cut Alabama's lead to 24-6.
That was the final time Henry lined up to kick field goals, but he help give Alabama another tremendously long field to work with by floating a punt down to the Tide's 20 before it bounced to the 8.
Henry averaged a career-high 62.3 yards on his three punts Saturday after entering the game averaging 45.5 yards on 11 punts this season.
