Head coach Will Muschamp decided to fill the coaching vacancy on Wednesday, but it didn’t come the way many expected. Stan Drayton left for Ohio State, opening the running backs coach that will be filled from within the staff. Muschamp announced on Wednesday the hiring of tight ends coach Derek Lewis, and Brian White will move to running backs coach.
Derek Lewis served as the tight ends coach for Minnesota during from 2007-2010. He was let go when Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster was fired.
