University of Florida head coach Rhonda Faehn addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All Sport Media Day.
Coach Faehn signed one student-athlete to a National Letter of Intent last week: Kiersten Wang, runner-up on vault at the 2009 Level 10 Junior Olympic Championships, who will join the Gator program in the fall of 2011.
She then provided her thoughts on the team’s training during the 2010 fall in preparations for the 2011 season, which gets underway on Fri., Jan. 7, when Nebraska visits the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
Coach then commented on and answered several questions from the media about the 2011 team’s two freshmen (Alaina Johnson and Brittney Noble), about leadership and about enjoying the journey of the season.
