Concussion KOs starting ‘Cocks lineman

In what is essentially a play-in game for the SEC East’s spot in the conference title game, South Carolina will be without the services of one of their starting offensive lineman in The Swamp against Florida.

According to the Charleston Post & Courier, and citing a team source, left tackle Jarriel King did not make the trip to Gainesville because of a concussion and will not take the field with the rest of his teammates for their battle with the Gators.

King suffered the concussion in the loss to Arkansas last Saturday and, despite the crossed fingers of head coach Steve Spurrier, was not cleared by the team’s medical staff.
The senior will be replaced in the starting lineup by junior Kyle Nunn.
