Florida's Balanced Attack Lifts Gators to 105-55 Victory Over North Carolina A&T

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Senior forward Chandler Parsons (Casselberry, Fla.) and sophomore guard Kenny Boynton (Pompano Beach, Fla.) led eight players in double figures with 16 points apiece, and Florida beat North Carolina A&T 105-55 Thursday night at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

The Gators (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 9 AP) bounced back from an 18-point loss two nights early to fourth-ranked Ohio State and eclipsed the 100-point mark for the first time since a 102-51 triumph over North Florida on Nov. 20, 2007.
Florida led by 28 points late in the first half and stretched it to 40 midway through the second.

Casey Prather (Jackson, Tenn.) (12), Erik Murphy (South Kingstown, R.I.) (11), Erving Walker (Brooklyn, N.Y.) (11), Patric Young (Jacksonville, Fla.) (11), Scottie Wilbekin (Gainesville, Fla.) (11) and Vernon Macklin (Portsmouth, Va.) (10) also scored in double figures for the Gators.

Will Yeguete (Bourdeaux, France) finished with seven points and 15 rebounds, including nine on the offensive end. Yeguete is the third Florida player since the 1996-97 season, to corral nine offensive rebounds in a game. The last Gator to accomplish that feat was former Gator and current Atlanta Hawk, Al Horford on Feb. 5, 2005 against Alabama.

Florida had 26 assists on 42 shots, and finished with 16 steals and eight blocks. Nine Gators logged 15 minutes or more in the contest.

Nic Simpson led North Carolina A&T with 11 points. Thomas Coleman added eight points and 10 boards for the Aggies.
The Gators will next take on Morehead State at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21 at the O’Connell Center. The game will be broadcast on Sun Sports.
