University of Florida basketball players Erik Murphy and Cody Larson are out on bond after being arrested in St. Augustine early Sunday morning. Both face felony burglary charges.
According to St. Augustine police investigators, Murphy and Larson showed up at Scarlett O'Hara's Restaurant around 2 a.m. claiming to have lost a wallet. Bouncers told the two to leave and a few minutes later, workers at the restaurant claim to have seen Murphy and Larson breaking into the car of a restaurant worker that was parked across the street from the premises.
Murphy is a 6-10 sophomore from South Kingston, Rhode Island, while Larson is a 6-9 redshirt freshman from Sioux City, South Dakota.
Also arrested was Josh Adel, head manager of the 2010-11 basketball team. He was charged with principal to burglary after allegedly telling police he was a lookout.
The police report indicates that the victim said nothing was missing from his car.
