Gainesville, Fla.
The
Florida football team will be holding an open practice on Saturday from
9-11 a.m. in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in conjunction with Verizon Fan Day, which is scheduled for 3-6 p.m. at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
Fans
can use gates 1, 4, 6, 15 and 18 to enter the stands beginning at 8:30
a.m. All main stadium seating areas will be open with the exception of
the upper west side seating. Two concession stands on the west side will
be open for fans to purchase food and beverages.
In addition to seeing your favorite Gators in action, fans can also get their first glimpse at the newly renovated West Concourse.
When the gates open Saturday, the University Athletic Association will
open the lower section of the west concourse to reveal numerous major
upgrades, highlighted by improvements in spacing, concessions, restrooms
and graphics on both the first and second levels. The upper section of
the west concourse will remain closed until the first game day.
Following
the open practice, the west concourse will be closed again to put the
finishing touches on the project and will reopen for the first home game
against Bowling Green on September 1 at 3:30 p.m.
