Loss to Georgia drops Gators in polls

Florida’s momentum from a three-game SEC winning streak was halted on Saturday with a double-digit loss to Georgia, a team the Gators (22-7, 10-4 SEC) beat by 22 at home and which is currently 11th in the conference. It was Florida’s first game without Will Yeguete, who had surgery for a broken foot Friday and is out for the year.

But the outcome was enough to drop Florida four spots in the Associated Press poll and two spots in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. UF now ranks 16th by AP voters and 13th by the coaches.
