UF moves up to No. 17

Florida moved up two spots to No. 17 in this week's AP Top 25 men's basketball poll.
The Gators (14-4, 2-1 SEC) picked up their first road win of the season Saturday at South Carolina. Overall, Florida went 2-0 during the week with wins over both Georgia (70-48) and the Gamecocks (79-65). Florida moved up five spots to No. 14 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll.
Also, Florida coach Billy Donovan had no update on the condition of Patric Young's ankle injury. Young has been hobbled with ankle problems the past two weeks and was limited to a bench role Saturday night at South Carolina. Young had 4 points and 4 rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench against the Gamecocks.
“My main concern with him is conditioning because he has been limited in practice,” Donovan said.
Donovan said that Young is scheduled for both an MRI and X-Ray this week, but doesn't consider the ankle injury to be serious. The Gators have a bye this week before next playing Saturday at the O'Connell Center against LSU.
