BASKETBALL: F Erik Murphy leaves practice with bloody face

his has been a rough season for Erik Murphy, who already missed some time with a knee injury. Today, Murphy left practice early after teammate Patric Young accidentally elbowed him above the right eye.

Murphy needed stitches, but is not expected to miss Saturday’s game at Tennessee (11 a.m., ESPN2), which will be Florida’s SEC opener.
It was one of those things were they both went up for a rebound and Pat’s elbow came down on top of his eye,” coach Billy Donovan said after practice this afternoon. “He probably needs three or four stitches and he’ll probably be back at practice tomorrow.
The biggest thing you worry about in those situations is are there any concussion-like symptoms, and he’s not having that right now. Provided he doesn’t have that, the cut is not going to prevent him from going to practice tomorrow or the game.”
Florida is 12-3 and ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press poll. The Gators have won seven of their past eight games
