Gators Prepare To Face Kent State On Thursday Night

The University of Florida returns home after a three-game road swing to host Kent State (7-2) on Thursday night at 7 p.m.. A year ago Kent State went 24-10, 13-3 in the MAC and reached the second round of the postseason NIT before falling at Illinois. The game is the final tune-up for the Gators before the team breaks for final exams and returns to play on Dec. 18. 

The Gators are off to a 6-2 start this season with an RPI of No. 12 in the nation and a strength of schedule of No. 2 in the nation. The Gators opponents thus far have a combined .688 winning percentage, while the two teams they’ve lost to are a combined 13-0 and both rank in the RPI top 15 in the nation.
