Havana Solaun scores twice as No. 10 Florida soccer defeats Oklahoma State 2-0

A goal in each half by junior Havana Solaun gave the No. 10 Florida soccer team a 2-0 win over Oklahoma State Sunday afternoon at the James G. Pressly Stadium. It was the third double-goal match for Solaun during her Gator career.
Both of Solaun’s goals came around 11 minutes of play for each half. Her first goal started from about 12 feet above the OSU box. Freshman Pamela Begić sent a ball left to junior Annie Speese who was making a run down the left side of the box. Speese immediately centered the ball where Solaun uses her left foot to one-touch it in for her second goal of the season.

Speese also had the assist on Solaun’s second goal. The ball dinged around between Speese, freshman Savannah Jordan and a pair of OSU defenders near the top of the box. Speese gained control of the ball in the traffic, took a couple of touches and then sent a short ball to Solaun. Her one-touch shot off her right foot scored from 18 yards.
