Gators Move Up to No. 9 in Latest USA Today Coaches' Poll

Following its 24-6 season opening victory over Toledo, the University of Florida football team moved up to No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll and dropped two spots to No. 12 in the Associated Press poll, released on Tuesday. The Gators were ranked No. 10 in both preseason polls. Next, Florida will travel to Miami, Fla., to take on the Hurricanes. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN.

There are six teams from the SEC currently ranked in the polls. Among the 11 teams remaining on Florida’s schedule, there are five teams present in rankings (AP/USA Today): No. 6/6 South Carolina (Nov. 16 in Columbia, S.C.), No. 9/11 LSU (Oct. 12 in Baton Rouge, La.), No. 10/10 Florida State (Nov. 30 in The Swamp), No. 11/12 Georgia (Oct. 27 in Jacksonville, Fla.) and NR/No.  24 Miami (Sept. 7 in Miami, Fla.).
