five Florida hitters were in the double digits on Friday evening, as
Florida battled back from a first set defeat to overtake host Arkansas
in five, 3-2 (23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 15-13.)
“Winning
in Barnhill against a veteran Arkansas team was huge for us,” Florida
head coach Mary Wise said. “For us to grind it out, I just can’t say
enough about our players’ work ethic.”
Three
Gators led the way in kills, as junior Chloe Mann, freshman Ziva Recek
and senior Tangerine Wiggs each tallied 13 kills, with Wiggs producing a
match-high .500 offensive clip to lead all hitters.
