Senior point guard Erving Walker didn’t want the role.
Center Patric Young does. The junior from Jacksonville has every intention of leading UF this season.
The 6-foot-9, 249-pound Young has emerged, along with soft-spoken
senior guard Kenny Boynton, to be one of UF’s top players. The Gators
are coming off two consecutive Elite Eight appearances and went 26-11
last season.
