Men's Golf Moves Up In National Rankings

Following a victory at The Invitational at The Ocean Course and second-place showing at the Olympia Fields/Illini Invitational, the University of Florida men’s golf team moved up in the most-recent national polls. The Gators are ranked fourth in the Golf Week/Sagarin Rankings and sixth in the coaches’ poll and Golfstat Relative Rankings.

Seniors Tyler McCumber (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) and T.J. Vogel (Cooper City, Fla.) were each ranked in the top-50 of the first Golf Week/Sagarin Player Rankings. McCumber was ranked No. 38, while Vogel was No. 39.

UF will continue its fall season on October 15 when the team travels to Birmingham for the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate. The two-day tournament will take place at the Old Overton Country Club and will be hosted by the University of Alabama.
