Gators injury update: QB John Brantley fine, DT Dominique Easley to have surgery

Two quick updates on Florida’s injury situation: QB John Brantley should be available for the Gator Bowl vs. Ohio State (Jan. 2, ESPN2) and DT Dominique Easley is done for the season.

Both players were knocked out of the game against Florida State on Nov. 26.
Easley, a sophomore, tore the ACL in his left knee and will have surgery Wednesday. Gators coach Will Muschamp did not say how long Easley would be out, but he definitely will miss the Gator Bowl.
Brantley appeared to take a hard hit to the head. Muschamp said he will be “fine.”
