No. 4 Florida To Face Mississippi State In Opening Round Of SEC Tourney

The SEC tri-champion University of Florida baseball team learned on Saturday evening that it will begin the 2011 SEC Tournament versus Mississippi State. The third-seeded Gators (41-15/22-8 SEC), which shared both the league’s overall and Eastern Division titles with No. 2 South Carolina (44-12/22-8 SEC) and No. 3 Vanderbilt (44-9/22-8 SEC), will face the sixth-seeded Bulldogs (34-21/14-16 SEC) on Wednesday afternoon at Regions Park in the second game of the double-elimination event. UF grabbed a part of its second-straight SEC regular-season crown and third-consecutive Eastern Division hardware by taking two of three games over Kentucky this weekend at McKethan Stadium.
