Florida Gators' offensive line stacked with experience

GAINESVILLE -- The Gators' skill players might lack experience heading into the season opener against Miami (Ohio), but UF's starting offensive line does not. Collectively, the starting offensive line Saturday will feature 23 seasons of experience in Florida's system.

From left to right, the Gators' offensive line for Saturday's opener will be: redshirt senior Marcus Gilbert, tackle; redshirt senior Carl Johnson, guard; senior Mike Pouncey, center; redshirt junior James Wilson, guard; and redshirt senior Maurice Hurt, tackle. The offensive line could change after the opener when sophomore tackle Xavier Nixon (knee) and junior tackle Matt Patchan (wrist) are cleared to play. Nixon and Patchan are left tackles. Nixon made five starts at the position last season and was first string entering fall camp.
