Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow has found an NFL home,
according to ESPN. The New England Patriots are expected to sign Tebow
and expect him at minicamp Tuesday, ESPN said in its Twitter account
Monday afternoon.
Patriots coach Bill Belichick is a good friend of former UF coach
Urban Meyer and has a number of Gators (Brandon Spikes, Aaron Hernandez
and Jermaine Cunningham) on his roster. The Patriots had Tebow in for a
pre-draft visit back in 2010, and Belichick has been praiseworthy of
the 25-year old in previous remarks.
Josh McDaniels, now the Patriots offensive coordinator, drafted Tebow when he was the head coach of the Denver Broncos, and will get another opportunity to work with the free agent quarterback cut loose by the New York Jets in late April.
