Eleven Florida football players were named to
the 2013 Phil Steele Preseason All-SEC Team, released on Tuesday. Senior defensive
lineman Dominique Easley, junior punter Kyle Christy and senior kick
returner Andre Debose were each named to the first team.
Redshirt junior Ronald Powell, who
will return after missing the 2012 season with a torn ACL, was named a
second-team selection along with junior cornerback Marcus Roberson.
Senior center Jonotthan Harrison and sophomore linebacker Antonio
Morrison were chosen for the third team.
In a rare occurrence, junior defensive back Loucheiz
Purifoy was chosen as both an offensive and defensive player, being
selected as a fourth-team wide receiver and fourth-team cornerback. Junior
quarterback Jeff Driskel and senior offensive lineman Jon Halapio
were also named to the fourth-team offense, while senior defensive back Jaylen
Watkins was named a fourth-team safety.
