Florida coach Will Muschamp said Monday sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel will play in Saturday's game at No. 10 Florida State.
Driskel, who missed last Saturday's home win against
Jacksonville State after suffering a sprained ankle against
Louisiana-Lafayette on Nov. 10, worked out Sunday, will not practice
today so he can get treatment for the injury and will practice Tuesday,
Muschamp said at his weekly news conference on the UF campus.“We're going to see how the week goes,” Muschamp said.
How Driskel performs in practice will determine how much he plays, Muschamp said. “I just know, based on yesterday, he's going to play in the game.”
If Driskel can't play, fellow true sophomore quarterback Jacoby Brissett will take over. Brissett completed 14 of 22 passes for 154 yards in the win Saturday.
Also on the injury front, linebacker Neiron Ball (ankle), offensive tackle Chaz Green (ankle), receiver Andre Debose (knee) and fullback Hunter Joyer (thigh) will play in the game and return to practice Tuesday, Muschamp said.
