The Gamecocks scored in the 37th minute when the lofted ball sent by Christine Watts from the top of the Gators’ defensive third was headed in by Bay Daniel from eight yards.

The Gators tied the match just before halftime. With the opening half clock waning, Havana Solaun took the ball end line. USC goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo got her hands on it but couldn’t cleanly control the ball and it bounced just above the six-yard box. Freshman Savannah Jordan’s left foot placed the ball in the goal with just 31 seconds remaining in the half.
