GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Gators sophomore right-hander Jonathon Crawford
threw a no-hitter in his first career NCAA Tournament appearance on
Friday night.
Crawford walked one and struck out five in Florida's
4-0 win over Bethune-Cookman in the first round of the Gainesville
Regional.
Crawford's no-hitter is the first in the postseason for
Florida since John Burke's no-hitter against Furman in the NCAA East
Regional in 1991.
The only baserunner allowed by Crawford was a walk to Jake Welch with one out in the third inning.
